Aston Villa have rejected an improved bid from Liverpool for captain Gareth Barry. The Reds’ improved offer, reportedly in the region of £15million, was turned down by the midlands club late on Wednesday night. Liverpool goalkeeper Scott Carson spent the whole of last season on loan at Villa Park and O’Neill is believed to want to make the move permanent. Benitez is willing to sell, but again the two are at loggerheads over the valuation of the player. It’s rumor that David Villa has been linked with a move to Anfield. Liverpool are also trying to prise midfielder James Milner from Newcastle.

Well well well… Thought that all the saga will be over once Barry say that he wants to join Liverpool… Doesnt seems to be… 15million Euros not enough for Barry??? Think that Barry is overated overly expensive… Dont get me wrong, hes a good player but no way hes worth 15million Euros… We got Mascherano for 17millions Euro and Javier is regular in his national team, and hes 10 times if not 20 times better than Barry… Plus, Aston villa want our Scott Carson as well… Intresting to see how both side negotiate…
